Synopsis
7 Virtues. 7 mercenaries. 70 hours to save Marseille from chaos…
In 2009, Lucio Borghèse, known as the Stranger—a former legionnaire and ex-mercenary—withdraws from the international scene after the death of his brother-in-arms, Christophe Vanner, nicknamed the Negotiator. He now lives a quiet life in Marseille’s Belle de Mai district, dividing his time between painting, selling caricatures to tourists, and playing pétanque.
On October 10, 2014, as he makes his way home from a party held for his birthday, Lucio finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time—and witnesses a double homicide.
From that moment on, he becomes the Stranger once again… in a Marseille on the verge of suffocation.
NOTE: The Stranger is a political fantasy thriller that leaves its mark on espionage cinema—suspense, action, the fantastic, and hero-driven storytelling. The Stranger is the first chapter of a four-part saga that will take Lucio Borghèse’s team from Russia to Syria, via the United States and China, on the trail of a vast conspiracy—echoing Gambi’s line:
“the old world refuses to die, and the new one is slow to be born.”
